I want to set up a dual boot. I have Xp pro on my computer right now, and
want to dual boot with Xp media center edition. Can i put both on the same
partition? Or how do i make a new partition without messing up the one i have
set up right now?

You can never operate two systems on one partition. You need a partitioning
software such as Norton Partition Magic to make a seperate partition for
Media Center Ed.

Since the 2 OSes will be put on the same HD, the 2nd one

running, you'll have to hide the first partition while doing the
installation of the 2nd partition. Partition Magic is one of
several 3rd party utilities that can do that.
