dwwin.exe - DLL Initialization failed
Posted by 1ajb on December 8th, 2005

Each and every time I shut down my computer I getr the following message:
DWWIN.EXE - DLL initializatin failed
Application failed to initialize because the windows station is shutting down.

I tried most everything, even ran the chkdsk repair cd provided with my
computer.
Any help or suggestions is appreciated. I am using Windows XP Home.

Take Dr. Watson out of the startup axis and your problems should stop. See
the following search results:

Heirloom, old and don't use him

Thank you so much. I viewed the info at the url you provided. However I did
not remove Dr. Watson from the start up because some of the info there says
it is used to report application errors. Will I be "shooting myself in the
foot"? I'm confused............
