Hi,

I am trying to install on a new built computer my xp pro with sp2, and I am
getting the following error:

partmgr.sys stopx000000ce (oxf9cbb667,ox00000000,oxf9cbb667,ox00000000)

Can anyone help with this error, and what can be causing it? I know the
hard drive, memory, cpu, and motherboard is working fine. I tried those in
another computer, just unsure what is causing this error.

Wow, thats a lot of work to put a motherboard/cpu in another computer just
to see if its working... and you were lucky enough all the power connections
to the motherboard from the power supply were the same to boot... Wish I
could be that luck sometimes.
Anyway, my research shows you might be using a Win2k driver on a Video card
with a TV Tuner or Video capture ability. If so, you may wish to check the
website of the Video card and download the WinXP version of the driver,
provided they've written one. If not, then you're stuck with Win2k or
you'll need to purchase a WinXP certified video card. If not, then I really
couldn't say, as the rest of the KB articles deal with the error on Win2k
not WinXP.

Hi Star Fleet,

Great advise, we have resolved that issue,found the drivers and fixed that
problem I believe. However; grrrrr...now we are getting the following error:

The following value in the .sif file used by setup is corrupted or missing.
value 0 on the line in section (source discs files) with key (sp2.cab). Setup
cannot continue.

We downloaded the six boot up discs for XP pro sp2, and now we are getting
all these problems. Is there any place we can go to get the correct
information to download to correct this error?

Might you know something about this error, if not I can post it as a new
thread.
