When I installed this program, this program took over my e-mail
function although I did not set it as the default e-mail program.
Currently my default e-mail client is Outlook. I wish to compare
e-mail programs BEFORE I set Eudora or another program as my e-mail
client.
I have Windows XP Pro SP2.
How would I do so?
Thank you,
Barry Karas

Install and configure the various email programs you want to evaluate.
Go to Internet Options (in Internet Explorer or Control Panel) and click
on Programs. Select the email program you want from the drop-down list
presented to you. Change as needed to check others.

My copy of WinXP included Outlook, not Outlook Express. Funny thing
about this -- only MS newsgroups come with the WinXP SP2 disk. I would
have gone to Eudora if I could, but I am not allowed to.

My copy of WinXP used Outlook, not Outlook Express. I would
have gone to Eudora if I could, but I am not allowed to.
I like Outlook, but I used Eudora on my previous computer.

Goto Start | Set Program Access and Defaults
In that window select "Set Program Access and Defaults"
Then under "Choose a default e-mail program:" and select Outlook Express

Outlook Express? I was writing about Outlook and Eudora, not Outlook
Express.

XP should still recognize it's presence and let you set it as the primary
client,
in either the stated program or via one of outlook's option windows
