- Event Viewer Disk error

Hi
After Checking Event viewer log it continusly inform as follows:

Please inform what does it means because my computer seems to work well (I
suppose). My pc hard disk is partitioned, C (NFTS) and X(FAT16). Besides I
have a Maxtor External HD connected thru fire wire.

In English, its saying the disk has a bad block. This could mean a number of
things:
o That your disk has some physical bad blocks. I suggest you run chkdsk /r
on each disk.
o That there is a problem with the ribbon cable - poor connectors can give
you these problems.
o That the disk is on the way out - I suggest going to the website of the
manufacturer of your disk drive. Most have a diagnostic utility that you can
run which will show whether there are any disk problems.
o Unlikely, but I have also seen a similar error to this caused by
applications that take up all the system memory - but if this is the case
then you will probably also see the occasional low memory error.

Thank you Brian for your help.
I had run chkdsk and it is OK, and after running a SMART utility it shows
and error in "Load Cycle Count" task, therefore I presume as you said that
my HD life cycle is coming to an end.
