- event viewer system file corupt

When i look at my system errors in my event viewer it says the file is
corupt i had a problem with my computer it wouldnt close any programes or
shut down so i wanted to see what the problem might have been in the event
viewer i have started a new file but it wont show previous problems, am quite
new to computing so nothing to technical
