EXTREMELY slow as administrator.

Here are the top 3 reasons for slow computers:

1. Viruses and spyware.
2. Too many programs start with Windows.
3. User errors.

Hey, I'm having troubles logging in as administrator on my home
computer. I made two accounts, Administrator and Family to stop the
constant downloading of random software by siblings. Anyhow, now I have
no trouble logging on in the family account, but when I log on using the
administrator account it runs so slow I can't do anything, almost like
it's frozen but still works. For example if I click on the start menu
it'll take aprox 30sec. to appear then about 10sec to highlight each
seperate option as I scroll and when I select a program takes ages too
load and even then it takes soooo long to use it just isn't normal. Any
ideas? I am a Computer n00b so lamens terms would help. Cheers.

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode?

Restart your computer and hit the F8 key until a menu appears.
Use the up arrow on your keyboard to select Safe Mode. Log in
with the Adminstrator account and see if you can make the
changes you want.

Good luck

So why does it work fine when I don't log in as administrator? And how
would I go about fixing it?

I think I may have found the program that is stuffing the administrator
up, but I cannot remove it as in the user account I don't have the
privelage and in the administrator account it won't open control panel.
Can I get administrator privelages on user accounts through user
accounts by entering my password somewhere?
