fatal system error
Posted by Cindy5170 on September 24th, 2005

My son has a Dell Latitude laptop. His operating system is Windows XP. He
gets the following error when he tries to shut down. "Stop: C000021a {fatal
system error} the windows log on process system process terminated
unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000000006 (0x00000000 0xc000000000) the
system has been shut down."

HELP! I can't find that specific error message to find a resolution. He was
trying to update drivers via downloads which I think caused the problem.

Any help is appreciated.

You might find the answer at:http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm
You might also open event viewer for system errors/warnings
