Fault Bucket
Posted by Justice 4 on December 1st, 2005

Sometimes when I attempt to go into the Control Panel, I get an error message
asking me if I want to send the error to Microsoft. Whichever box I check,
the screen disappears and sometimes wipes out information I have just
entered. I checked the Event Viewer and it showed an error called Fault
Bucket. I have Spybot, which I have to run before I begin - otherwise I get
the error msg. frequently. Spybot shows 8 critical errors. Aaaargh! Anyone's
help would be MOST appreciated.
Thanks,
justice

It means that you probably got an Event ID: 1001 Event Source: Application
Error

Explanation
A fault bucket identification number is a number assigned by the system to
identify specific types of errors. This number is used by Microsoft to
identify a particular program error when you send an error report.
