- File that cannot be copied?
- Posted by John Jay Smith on May 4th, 2006
There is a temp file in my internet explorer temp files I want to copy
but when I try to paste it, it says its being used by another process. I am
not moving it or deleting it, just copy. I cant zip it (send to > compressed
folder) because it says I have no read permision!... its somehow locked.
When I try to unlock it with a program like
"unlocker" the temp file vanishes... lol....How can this be?
any ideas?

SWAG:
You have IE set to empty Temporary Internet Files when IE is closed.
You have IE open when you try to copy the file, XP thinks IE is using the
file or IE really is using the file. Or maybe WMP, AdobeReader, etc.
Try just dragging the file from Temporary Internet Files to the desktop.
What kind of file is it?

Is it a trojan or spyware? What's the name of the file?
