- FILE COPY OPERATIONS WERE CANCELED.SETUP CANNOT CONTINUE

I am unable to add or remove windows components from the control panel -
add\remove programs - add\remove windows components, i always get "file copy
operations were canceled.setup cannot continue" error message.
Your help will much be appreciated.
