When I click on an animation in a web page or e-mail and want to save
it, I click on save as then the down arrow BUT only have .bmp. How do i add
to save as a jpg or gif?? when there is no jpg or gif there?

Mark when I right on a newsgroup picture I get the option of saving as JPEG
"my default" or BMP so I do not understand the referenced MS site.I am
using OE6 on a xp with no add on to IE6. And yes they are saved as JPEG
files.

The usual fix is to purge the TIF folders in IE, but in case that doesn't work
some other tweaks are shown in the following link:.
