Where do I go to enable file sharing so I can try to transfer files from one
computer to another? Windows XP Pro and Home editions being used.
Thanks.

Set-up a "Home or Small Office Network" in "My Network Places".

Forgive my apparent stupidity, but I can't even find My Network Places. Thanks.

Well for me its right when I click on the Start menu. If you cant find it
there then go to the Control Panel then look for "My Network Places". Open
that and on the left you will see "Set up a home or small office network",
click that and a wizard will walk you through the rest.
***Make sure you give the same workgroup name on the two computers.***
