Game.exe error, and SETUP at start problem...
Posted by Tax Help on April 15th, 2006

Problem #1

I may have altered the drivers or deleted a file or something. I had a
working game, and didn't play for 10 months, now it won't work - tried
everything - re-installed, went to the support center for the games maker,
all unsuccessful. Then, tried a new game - installed by CD. Looked good,
but it won't work either. When I run the game (autoplay, or any other way) I
get an .exe error.

The last 10 months I have cleaned the computer, deleted, etc. other games,
files - which could be my problem.

How do I reset the original drivers, etc.? (By the way, the system restoral
was off, so I have no restoral points.)

Problem #2

I tried to re-install windows xp, but also got an error that it can't find a
working CD-ROM drive (which seems to be working fine). - This though has also
lead to an option at startup of the computer to go to SETUP, or go to WINDOWS
XP. If I don't choose, the SETUP runs, and gives me the error. How do I get
rid of that?
