My files extensions keep coming back in all folders.

When I go to preferences, and activate "Hide file extensions
for known file types" and choose to use it on every folder,
it works okay... - until I restart my computer, and then all
the file extensions are back.

What can I do to make them disapear for good?

How are you turning off your computer? Are you using the Start | Turn Off
Computer | Turn Off sequence? Or, are you just hitting the power switch?

I always use the Turn off sequence...
