HELP! My IE 6 does not display background colors

HELP! I recently built a new PC and installed WinXP with SP2. The PC
works well, and Internet Explorer 6 works well except that IE refuses
to display background colors. I get all of the regular text but no
colors or color shading that are a normal part of the browser
backgrounds.

This problem persists regardless of video card or video card driver.
I've tried PCI cards, AGP cards, and various driver upgrades, but
nothing affects the absence of background colors.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Check settings in Internet Options> General.

Accessibility: Remove check from "ignore colors specified on web pages."

If "Format documents using my style sheet" is enabled, check the content of
the .CSS document that you designated for this setting. If you did not/do
not use a style sheet, leave box unchecked

Colors: A check next to "use Windows colors" is a default setting.
