Hi I have looked in the archives not really found what I am looking for I am
using a dell dimension and xp home edition I use wannadoo for my broadband
(livebox 2mg)up until yesterday it was fine but since then my system or their
equipment could not accsess the internet the problem was an inability to get
an ip all browsers showed 'cannot find the server' spent 2 and a half hours
on the phone with wanadoo went through everything they could think of they
came to the conclusion something on my system was blocking them but other all
devices on my computer are turned off. Its strange as it was ok before
yesterday but around the same time when my system loads on and during up time
I keep getting an error saying 'cannot find windows system32.exe' I have
searched myself could not find it.At the same time I tried using the command
dos system and ipconfig or ping etc came back with the not correct terms or
language.
I am sorry for the confused nature of this question but are the two things
(problems)related? I have virus searched and spyware checked etc my computer
it seems clean and also turned off all the security stuff when trying to get
on to the internet.I have also used system mechanic pro and other similair
programs to clean and make sure all is optimum on my computer
(registry,system etc)
Has anyone got any ideas or things I could try I have had to come to the
local library to pose this question and can get back online tommorrow morning
for any replys.One other thing no matter how hard I try I cannot uninstall a
panda antispyware program it seems to be impossible to delete it(hope this is
not related)Any replys or help would be gratefully recieved.
