Hi

A friend has phoned to say XP is crashing
everytime she enters her password on the
regular XP screen.

It doesn't crash in Safe Mode.

Through Safe Mode - she has run
"SpyBot Search & Destroy", which found
30 problems - it fixed a few but then said
it had to restart to fix the rest.

But course it can't fix the rest, because
you can't get into XP because it crashes.

I can't get to this PC because it's 120 miles
away.

Through Safe Mode she has started Error Checking
(C Drive/Properties/Tools)
which she say's has gone round in a loop 4 times (5 of 5)

She pulled the plug - when she started it again, it
continued with Error Checking.

Any idea what might have caused this.

She is up todate with Norton Anti Virus.

Any help would really be appreciated.
