Hidden Hard Drive
Posted by Mark on April 1st, 2006

I have 2 hard drives on my computer. Drive C and drive F. I've hid drive F
because I didn't want my son to save files on the drive. But, I'm also
unable to access that drive. I cannot remember how I hid the drive and need
access to it. I have donwloaded Tweak UI and placed a check mark on the
drive, but when I try to access it tells me I don't have administrative
authority. I do remember placing a check mark on a dialog box that displayed
both drives. But I cannot find a way to undo the action. Your help would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any suggestions on how to correct the
problem?

Default procedure to "hide" a drive is to append "$" - such as "C$". You
should be able to access the drive by: Start>run>cmd>c$ - subsisting your
drive designation "F$"
