how can i eliminate items from start up menu
Posted by Hawkeye Fan on April 30th, 2006

How can I know which items to eliminate from my start up menu. I opened it up
and every program on my computer is checked to start at start up. I know that
not all are nessecary for the computer to run. So which ones can I remove and
not do any harm, so my computer will boot up a little faster.

First, see if there is an option similar to "load at startup" in the
corresponding application(s). If so, uncheck the option. Secondly, you may
use the MSCONFIG.EXE utility in Windows to troubleshoot Windows startup.
