I have a aoltpsp.exe file listed on my task list. I have tried terminating
this file, do not have aol. This file continues to return. I want to delete
if off my computer. How do I do this? Can anyone help, please.

1 see if you can install the exe from control panel->add/remove programs.
2
right click windows start, select explorer, expand programs below Start
Menu,
click startup
look for a shortcut or the actual exe there, If found delete
3. failing to find it, scroll the left pane of explorer, looking for all
user
when found, again expand, start menu, programs, click startup
if found the exe or its shortcut, delete it
4 if not found, do the potentially damaging action carefully,
search in the registry: open regedit, backup first by exporting and
delete the item
Potentially dangerous if other item or key were accidentally deleted, so
take care

Download and run Autoruns.exe from the following link;

This Microsoft program finds all of the automatically ran software on
your system and gives you the ability to stop them and keep them from
re-starting on your next boot ups.

It is better than other startup managers as it knows more places to look
for automatically started programs than the others do.

After stopping the file with Autoruns you will still need to find the
original file and delete it if you want to. Use Windows Search to find
the file.
