- How do I change the dates of several files at the same time?
- Posted by OM on November 3rd, 2005
I have got a digital camera that had the wrong date set.
The files all are in 2003.
How can I change this?
I need to be able to change many files all at the same time ideally.
Thanks.

I'm guessing you're referring to the dates embedded within the jpg files,
and not the file's "date modified" column.
for that you'd need what's called an EXIF tag (or data) tool. google for
EXIF TOOL or EXIF UTILITY.
this EXIF data is sometimes displayed in the tool tips, depending upon
your setup, and many photo organizers display it too; check yours, it may
actually be able to edit that EXIF info too.
to alter the "date modified" column you'd want a TOUCH utility. google
for TOUCH DATE.
