Installation Quits, problem with disc installation

Trying to install an application from a disc, but get the error
message: "Setup failed to launch installation engine: Class
not registered".
Have tried to disable programs like antivirus and firewall but
nothing works. So fraustrated! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
