- installing games help needed please

Hi, am trying to install some '98 games on XP but keep getting this message:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft windows applications. What does this meam and how can I
resolve the problem? Thanks in advance

personally I would just remove windows\system32\cdm.com
