Key to show taskbar?
Posted by Jeffrey Kaplan on November 22nd, 2005

After ten years of using Windows (Win95 through XP), I'm trying to see
if I like hiding the taskbar. One thing that hits me right away is the
lack of information when it's not visible.

I like to keep my hands on the keyboard as much as possible, so I was
wondering if there is a keyboard command to pop (momentarily unhide)
the Taskbar +without+ opening the Start menu, like the WinKey does.

that but I don't see how." "Then maybe that's something you should
work on." (Mr. Garibaldi and G'Kar, B5 "Voices Of Authority")

I have the taskbar at the top of the screen and set to auto-hide. Alt-tab
can get you to applications without the need of the taskbar.

Try Win+B. It seems to work on my system.

But that doesn't pop the bar to show me info on it. Like the clock,
status icons in the systray, etc.
