- keyboard keys switching

my cat walked on my computer and really messed things up i cannot press the
period key it will only give me a > sign the top column on numbers will only
give me symbols and caps lock is backward when it is off i type all in caps
on the internet when i am trying to use it every link opens in a new window
and sometimes does not even load
please help

You have a stuck shift key!
turn the keyboard upsid down and tap in on the desk.
clear up the crumbs and try again.

The shift key may be stuck as mentioned. I've run into a reverse caps-lock
situation a few times in XP that was not due to a stuck key. Have never
figured out what caused it but restarting the computer fixed it each time.
