Keyboard language settings - can't log on
Posted by flootloops on February 14th, 2006

I changed the keyboard language on my computer from English to French for
some reason (I wanted to put the system in French, but now I can't use my
computer!) I can't log on now, and I can't log on to the administrator
account either. Je dois corriger cette probleme! Is there any way to get my
computer back to normal and be able to use it? Thanks!

You may boot into Safe Mode and log on using the account "Administrator".
The password for this account was set when you installed Windows XP on your
computer. If you are using XP Home Edition, please also try to use a blank
password.

To boot into Safe Mode, please refer to the following steps:

1. Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On
a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems,
you can press the F8 key when you see the Boot Menu.
2. When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, select an option, and
then press ENTER.
3. When the Boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in
blue at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start, and
then press ENTER.
