- Local User Profiles

I am wondering if there is anyway to keep local user profiles from loading on
a machine with Windows CP Pro (in a domain environment) without creating a
roaming user profile.
We tried removing the user from domain users and adding them to domain
guests. The profile doesn't seem to load locally anymore, but are there any
negative effects this may have?
