- lost Power Schemes

Windows XP SP2 home
Went to change my power schemes only to find the page grayed out. The
monitor is shutting down after 20 min. which is where I originally had it
set. Wanted to make a change and I can't.
Tried system restore (10 days) and sfc /scannow. No joy.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
