Modem removed under ISP connection but Modem still works
Posted by meskico on November 29th, 2005

Not able to get online or create a new connection due to no modem under
device manager & the error of 'modem removed' under ISP properties yet modem
helper & fax allows modem to dial out, BCM V92 model. Tried to reinstall
modem via installation disk but after selecting 'have disk' & .in? file
nothing happens.

there is no listings to choose from. I have a dail up system, not Broadband,
ISAN. Please help connect to AOL.

Not sure if you have the same problem but it sounds the same - I had a virus
that the 'aproposfix' file fixed - search other modem problem postings for a
link to download this file if you want to try
