new hard drive and installing Windows XP professional from a disk: Posted by twalker on January 2nd, 2006; When windows is installing from a disk, I get to the last stages of
installation on the XP page and Fatal error comes up with this note:
"D:\1386\ams\6000\MSFT\windows\COMMON\CONTROLS\CON TROLS.MAN"

I have reformatted and it does not help.....so if anyone out there can help
this novice, I'd be thankful
