When my computer turns off I hear beeps and bumps that seem to be telling me
something is warning or alarming me that something is being terminated. How
can I find out what is going on when I turn off the computer?

How are you "turning off" the computer? Are you doing it this way:
Going to Start>Turn Off Computer --- Clicking on Turn Off

or are you doing this:

Using a power strip and turning off the power to the computer using the
on/off switch on the power strip.

or are you doing this:

shutting off all your periperal equipment then shutting off the computer
using either of the preceding methods.

What do you mean, exactly, by the term "beeps and bumps"? How can you hear
a bump? A bump implies physical action between two objects like your head
and the door of a cupboard coming into unexpected contact.

I am using the start menu shut down and all periperals are still on. The
bump & beeps are window alart sounds that I hear after it starts to shut
down that seem to be telling me something is wrong.
