Norton System Works
Posted by bj on October 16th, 2005

I previously had a computer with only 1 disk drive but now have a new
computer with 2 drives. I have always had Norton System Works installed and
I installed it on this computer and have it set to run the System Scan when
I turn my computer on in the mornings. The scan is performing this task but
a box comes up titled "Norton Disk Doctor" and stating :

"Norton Disk Doctor cannot obtain the physical disk characteristics of hard
disk 2 and is unable to test the partition information of the drive.

If this is a fixed disk or an external hard drive, ensure the cables are
properly connected. If this is a removable drive please insert media".

I feel sure that this is referring to the 2nd drive. Would there be
something I can do to ensure both drives are scanned?

BJ

As long as the drive is working, all is well.. to improve the situation,
remove Norton System Works and then give the Norton installation system to
your worst enemy..
