I just built a new pc with WinXP Pro SP2. Due to an issue with multiple
adapters and the firewall, this doesn't work and I can't connect to the net
with this setup until SP3 comes out according to MS knowledge base. Until
then, I would need WinXP Pro SP1 (which has no firewall). I have 1394, Lan,
and dialup adapters as I run a home network and have no broadband to the net.
It's been 3 weeks since I been at this, and as much knowledge I have about
Windows, I haven't a clue, but to get a copy of SP1, and install it, then
when the fix is in, patch it with SP3. 1: Can I even get a copy of SP1
anymore from MS or anyone else, and 2: Does anyone have a workaround. It's
either/or, or I'll just forget it, and re-install with my old Win2K setup.
