- NTLDR

Does anyone know how to fix this? When my Windows XP Home Edition (SP2)
computer starts up, it says "NTLDR is missing, press any key to restart" -
this happened once on my last laptop, and my dad's IT guy fixed it somehow,
but I just read that Microsoft can supply me with a "Bcupdate2 utility" ???
Anyone tried this or know how it works? How I use it etc... Thank you in
advance!!
Thanks
George

Firstly make sure there is not a floppy disk in your drive and this can cause
this error.

See if this method helps.

Yup, there was a floppy disk in the drive - that caused the problem. Such a
stupid thing. Anyway, thanks for that, Andy!!

Glad to help you MunkyMaze, when someone reports this error its the first
thing I suggest, a floppy disk in the drive is usually what causes the NTLDR
error.
