Was reloading winxp and got through all the security updates, sp2 and just
finished loading IE 7.x.
On restart get this msg:

Windows could not start because---- is missing or corrupt.
<windows root>\systme32\ntoskrnl.exe.
Please reinstall copy----.

What do I do?

0xc000021a STOP error,where the ntoskrnl.exe or ntdll.dll files were not
replaced, Boot to Recovery Console, check version, date and time of
ntoskrnl.exe and ntdll.dll. expand them from the SP2 install source,
available in %windir%\servicepackfiles folder
