Nvidia Driver Problem
Posted by Martin Racette on November 17th, 2005

Hi,

I have an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard, with 2 EN6600GT in SLI, when I
installed either the 80.81 or the 81.94, the system works fine for a while but
then I either get a Bluescreen of Death, or the screen goes black and nothing
else happen, I still can access the data in the shared folders using another
computer on my network, but I can not even use the Remote Desktop

I have already reverted back to 78.01

BTW I have XP Pro SP2

Thank you in Advance

Merci a l'Avance

I also use the A8N-SLI Deluxe. You might want to go directly to the nVidia
website and download the nForce4 6.70 Driver Update. I was having similar
issues as yours till I got the update.

My system would BSOD and reboot before I got the update.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Hi,

Pls try update to the latest mobo BIOS.
After you have successfully updated the mobo BIOS, ensure to load the
default setup and then enable the SLI feature in the BIOS setup.

Also, make sure to remove the old display drivers first from the Add or
Remove Program and then temporary disable the antivirus software. Reboot the
PC, the display should now be the the VGA mode. Ensure there is no antivirus
software to run at the background then install the latest nvidia drivers
V#81.94

Hope it helps.
