- OFF TOPIC...SORRY

Sorry if this is off topic but may not be to some. Recently after taking my
system in for upgrade it was discovered that two capacitors on my mobo had a
brown decolourisation on top. I was told that the capacitors were leaking
and my board was on the way out. I'm wondering if it may be oxidization,
and what effect evaporative cooling in my house has on computer
motherboard components. I know this is not a hardware group however damaged
components could be the cause of many system errors reported here.

You were told the truth. Many motherboards have this problem.
Suggest you replace the motherboard ASAP...it is going to die from the
problem.
