- Open Ports !
- Posted by twentytwospoons on January 14th, 2006
In a nutshell, I opened the telnet port with the cmd prompt by accident. I
can't seem to close it, I don't really know how. In addition, I think a
recently installed ftp program I put on opened my http port as well. To top
it all off, the ping port is open. I don't know how that one got opened.
- http (port80)
- telnet (port23)
- ping
How to close these ports? I tried using the "exceptions" list in the network
config settings, and unchecking them to try and fix it. No dice. Is there a
way to use cmd again to close up these 3 visible doors through my firewall?
