Open SSH /XPSP2
Posted by frank1111 on December 8th, 2005

Sorry, i posted this before, bud didn't receive an answer, because my alias
was not registered properly ;-)
Im trying to use Open SSH to access files in a folder on a XPSP2 Machine via
an IP-Connection.
On the installed Kaspersky Firewall port 22 has been opened. The Windows
Firewall has been disabled.
A group was created locally to grant NTFS Modify permissions to the folder
and my user has been added to the group
Authentication via SSH seems to work properly, but i can only access and even
modifiy the contents of the folder when i grant Read Access to my folder to
"Everyone"
"Everyone" shoulnd't be granted Read Access to the folder.
On a W2K Machine this worked properly.
How can i configure my machine to access this folder via SSH without
granting Read Access to "Everyone"?

Hello,

I noticed that you submitted the same problem on Oct 27th, (Subject: File
Access via SSH on a XPSP2 Machine) in this newsgroup and my colleague,
Vencent, has replied there.

May I suggest that we focus on that thread on this issue? It is easier for
us to track your issue and make sure we respond promptly.

Thanks and have a great day!

Regards,

Ada Pan
