- opening files and folders

When I try to open folders in my documents (carried over from ME) I get the
message "can not load Word for WIndows 6.0 files" they are all Wordpad docs.
is there anyway I can access these folders?

Jude,
If you have Microsoft Word installed, then open the .doc files with it.
Also, look at the following link for a Wordpad issue:
