- Operation could not be completed (Installing printer)
- Posted by braceyr on May 3rd, 2006
Dear Wes,
I cannot, for some reason, make my computer copy to the clipboard when I
double click on "event viewer" and then pasting it to Notepad. I have save a
copy of the log that I mentionen in my last posting in file form, each
section - application, security, and system. Could I email those files to
you and achieve the same end?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Thanks for being patient. The learning curve is pretty much vertical
right now.

You have to open the Event Viewer, Click on Application, Security or System,
then double click an event to even see the Copy button.

Hope this helps. Let us know.

Dear Ramesh,
Thank you for your response.
I went the website that you listed. From what I read, the McAffee software
that I have running on my computer is part of the reason that I have incurred
this problem. Secondly, what are you suggesting as a solution to the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Hi braceyr,
I'd try a clean boot troubleshooting (which involves turning off the 3rd
party services and processes from running at Windows startup). This can help
you determine if McAfee is implicated.
