How do I hide/delete the Outlook Icon on my sons Desktop (He is using a
sepperate account)

The problem with Old Jon's advice is that Outlook is iinstalled for everyone
and deleting the icon from the desktop of one person will also remove it
from the desktop of everyone. If you don't care, then go ahead and delete
the icon.
It's not a shortcut, though, it's a link to Control Panel's Mail applet.

Can't it be hidden by right-clicking Desktop, and then Properties ->
Desktop -> Customize Desktop?

Install the Tweak UI Power Toy from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
It will let you add or remove certain icons from the desktop.

That was easy, DUH, I have tried that before and wouldn't work. I got a
pop-up saying "Cannot Delete...." must have been a non administrator
account. Now I went to the recycle bin and it is not there. If I want to
reinstal the Icon must I go to "Help > Detect and Repair"?
