I had this working the other day , I'm sure , however at the moment
Windows Xp does not seem to want to create a pagefile.sys on my USB

You should NOT create a Virual Memory swap file on a removable media as a USB hard disk.
Only internal hard drives.

Placing a pagefile on a USB drive will have an adverse impact on your
computer performance.

Windows XP does not support the use of a page file on a removable
drive. Period.
