Passport and Hotmail
Posted by Synthesys on January 26th, 2006

I've had a Hotmail account I've used (at least in theory ...my older computer
couldn't even reach it for the last year) for many years now. When I set up
my new computer I used it when creating my Passport.

Passport still doesn't make sense. I have an Admin account I use to
control, and a power user account I use for normal use. My Admin account,
which has no identity association with the Hotmail account, has no problem
signing in to Hotmail. However, my other user account, which shows the
Hotmail association, always gets lost in wait-land whenever I try to use to
to get to Hotmail. No, I don't remember exactly which account I did exactly
which operation on before all this started. I'm just trying to fix things.

To add to this confusion I was able to sign into this web interface to the
newsgroup using Passport on the account for which that doesn't work when I
access Hotmail.

Is there a reason it has to be this complicated?
