XP Pro seems to have problems with saving passwords that extend to IE7,
Outlook 2003, Live Mail and Live Messenger. PC was originally set up at
work, on a small network. Had trouble with configuration, so gave up and
brought it home. Now it won't save any passwords (have tried all obvious
settings in above programs) except for Live Mail and Messenger (but still
need to re-enter these when machine reboots). This is getting fairly
frustrating. Any suggestions?

Click on "AutoComplete..." and check if the option "User names and passwords on forms" is marked. If you enable this feature I suggest you also enable
the additional option "prompt me to save passwords".

Thanks. Unfortunately, those settings are already configured correctly, so
there's some other underlying problem.
