Ok, I gave up on the Asms issue and did a new install. The install seemed to
be going well until the log in. Now it wants a password. The owner of the
computer says she never used a password. so I reinstalled again. I put my
name in as a user. Now it requires a password from me. The Windows xp home
usually can by pass the password issue in safe mode.
Also I chose a new install. The computer originally had a Winnt folder now
it has both a winnt and a windows folder.
Unless someone comes up with something usable I will have to reformat the
drive.
