pdf downloads

Hello,
Many times when I download a pdf document from the web, it doesn't open and
the browser window freezes up.
I have to go to the task manager where I find the pdf "program is not
responding" and then I have to click on "end task" in order to free up
things again.
Any ideas as to why this keeps happening?

Thank You

Hi,

Is there a PDF reader installed?

If not, here's a free reader.

Adobe Reader download a pdf file instead of opening

Right click the link and select Save Target As. This will get you a
download dialog box and the pdf won't open in your browser.

This should allow you to get a download dialog box and never open a pdf file
in IE again.
Go to >>
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Plug_ins
and move the EWH32.api file up into the Optional folder.

EWH32.api = External Window Handler
The Acrobat Browser Manager plug-in allows users to view PDF files in their
web browser.

Get this and disable all the unneeded crap from Adobe Reader...
Adobe Reader SpeedUp 1.32
