PP slides not opening correct from web after upgrade to Windows XP
Posted by cbizic on October 18th, 2005

After upgrading to XP SP2 for Windows a friend cannot open his PowerPoint
slides directly from the web. He is able to save and open the file but when
opening from the website directly, the client is unable to view the content
of the slides. I was unable to replicate this on my SP2 machine.

After a download and saved on your harddrive, PowerPoint files will
run directly, but from a website they have to download to your Browser
cache first before they will display. Depending on the size of the file and
the speed of your modem could take some time.

Thank you for your response but the problem is that it opens but is not
properly displaying the slides. It is simply a blank slide with a black line
running through it. This problem did not occur before the upgrade to SP2.
