- problems logging on
- Posted by Nurmi on July 4th, 2008
Not long ago I was forced to re-format, re-install WindowXP Home Edition
because I was asked for a password when I had not used one for years. Upon
re-installation I get this msg.: The system could not not log you on. Make
sure your User name and domain are correct the type the password again. I
then do get the welcome screen, however I worry that sooner of later I'll
experience the initial problem again. Any advise? Thanks

When reinstalling xp,you either did not boot to xp cd & delete the partition
then let xp format & install a new copy,or maybe other hds were running
during installation.By default on a new xp install, the password is disabled.
